Meet the Club
The OleMiss Equestrian Club is a Registered Student organization(RSO) at the University of Mississippi, established in 2015. Since then, we've grown into one of the biggest sport clubs at OleMiss.
Our team competes in Zone 5, Region 2 of the IHSA, with members of all experience levels ranging from having never ridden a horse before, to competing at nationally rated shows. Members have qualified for National, Zone, and Regional Finals.
Our practices take place at Hunters Edge Stables, located in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Situated on thirty-eight acres of prime equestrian real estate, Hunters Edge Stables provides members with ample opportunity to learn, gain experience, and enjoy all that the equestrian sport has to offer. Members schedule their lessons as individual or group lessons with our coaches, accommodating each member's busy schedule. Practices can be arranged for any day of the week, according to the Hunters Edge Stables' practice schedules.
Meet our Coaches
Beanie Cone is a native of Germantown, TN. He has been riding since the age of 4. By the age of 13 he was successfully competing in the "A" circuit of the pony division, junior hunters, and junior jumpers as he traveled the East Coast from Canada to Florida. He was trained by top Olympic trainers during his riding career and has ridden and competed in shows throughout his lifetime. Since the early 2000s, he has managed his own stables, providing first-class horse care and offering riding lessons as well as camp programs to equestrians of all ages. In 2015, the Ole Miss Equestrian Club began a relationship with him as head coach, and he provides regular lessons to all Ole Miss Equestrians.
